INTEGRATED COLORIST COMMAND STATION

JLCooper’s new Eclipse CX - is our first fully integrated Colorist Command Station for use with advanced video color correction and editing software.

It’s is a professional-quality control surface with conveniently placed controls at your fingertips, in a newly designed enclosure style, with metalic finish and brushed aluminum end caps.
It features a full array of controls including 3 custom transparent, backlit trackball mechanisms with purpose designed, free–spinning control rings. Molded ring surface insures precise control.

You get fast access to color parameters with 6 smooth, high–resolution rotary encoders and 5 detented rotary encoders. There are 41 illuminated function keys, 7 edit keys, 3 VF displays, blue LED timecode display, professional transport buttons with status indicators and JLCooper’s custom optically encoded jog/wheel with concentric shuttle ring.

*New for 2009 - Midnight finish and white LEDs and indicators to reduce light emissions and intrusion on colorist's eyes.

Eclipse CX includes 2 interface card slots for connection via 10/100 Ethernet, USB, RS-422 or RS-232.

Our smart software driver knows which application is in the foreground and switches automatically for seamless control.

Based on MCS-3000 Series - Media Command Station components, it’s compatible with IFX (Piranha Cinema HD), IRIDAS (Speedgrade), Apple Color and others.

A new Eclipse Bridge Controller/Expander (not shown) adds 4 additional banks of VF displays, 3 hi- res push-button rotaty encoders per bank (with reset buttons) and 8 global function keys.

ECLIPSE MX

Compact Transport Controller

Eclipse TX works as a stand alone controller or as an expansion option for Eclipse SX and Eclipse 24.

It features the JLC jog/shuttle mechanism with custom, weighted, jog wheel and a concentric shuttle ring, professional transport buttons and 23 function keys, with white LED indicators.

Combined with Eclipse SX, it’s a modular, lower cost and compact alternative to Eclipse CX.

It works as a stand alone controller when equipped with a USB, Ethernet, RS-232 or RS-422 interface card.

Compact Color Control Surface

New capabilities allow it to be used by itself with Apple Final Cut Studio and Color, without the need for a transport section. This makes the SX our most compact, flexible and affordable option for precision control in Apple Final Cut Studio and Color.

When you’re ready, you can add on the Eclipse TX (for transport, jog/shuttle, room selection, and function keys), to make a customized modular surface, as your budget and workspace allows. Eclipse SX can be easily joined with Eclipse TX or MX, using the Eclipse Joiner Kit.

Eclipse SX is compatible with Apple Final Cut Pro, Color, Assimilate Scratch, DVS ClipSter, IFX Piranha Cinema, Iridas Speedgrade and other software professional applications.

Precision Trackball Controller

Eclipse NX is a new trackball controller that can be used as an expansion option or stand alone controller.

It can be used with Eclipse CX or SX as a fourth trackball, navigational device and mouse replacement.

With JLCooper Eclipse software for Mac OSX, it works as a stand alone USB controller and mouse.

It features a single transparent, back-lit, trackball mechanism with specially designed free spinning control ring, 6 high-resolution rotary encoders, and 10 function keys.

Precision Controller/Expander

A new Eclipse Bridge Controller/Expander (shown with Eclipse CX) adds 4 additional banks of VF displays, with 3 hi-res push-button rotary encoders per bank (with reset buttons) and 8 global function keys.

This space saving design mounts on the back of Eclipse CX or Eclipse SX and puts valuable additional controls at your fingertips without wasting desktop space.

Tactile Command Palette

Eclipse 24 is a mid-sized desktop controller with 24 next generation, hi-res, RGB, remotely-relegendable 64 x 32 LCD keyswitches, 10 bank buttons, and 17 additional function and navigation switches.

The hi-res LCD keyswitches can display text (up to 40 characters) and graphics using built in command driven serial interfaces. Software controls the interface, display and backlighting (64 colors). Data only needs to be transmitted when a change is made to the display or background colors.

Eclipse 24 can be used as a stand alone controller, or it can be physically connected with other Eclipse Series devices.

Eclipse 24 has an interface card slot and requires a JLC interface card for USB, Ethernet, RS- 232 or RS-422 connection.

Eclipse 24 provides instant playback and control for broadcast automation, post production and other applications.
